World Premiere of Indie Horror Comedy “My Stuffed Animal is a Monster” in NYC
The most anticipated, ultra low budget horror-comedy film in recent memory, My Stuffed Animal is a Monster, a Most Epic Triumph Films production, will have its exclusive world premiere on Friday, September 25 at the Anthology Film Archives in New York City, officially kicking off the fall movie season. Director Joe Fiorello will be hosting the evening and featuring appearances by the cast and crew.
Sara Mayer and Mark Dunn star in this horror-comedy along with Kate Holland, Amanda Jones, Benjamin Holmes, Matt Payne, Marlene May, and August Schulenburg. Written and directed by Joe Fiorello, and produced by Yvie Raij and Sara Mayer, its executive producers are Andre Halikias and Joe Fiorello.
The film tells a tale of love, murder and, of course, a stuffed animal. But not just any stuffed animal…
A gruesome murder sends a hard-nosed Detective Davis (Mark Dunn) and his forensics partner Detective Anderson (Kate Holland) on the trail of a killer who is anything, but ordinary. Meanwhile, Jane (Sara Mayer) is trying to cope with yet another relationship suffering due to her clinging on to Sammy, a stuffed animal given to her as a child. As the body count rises, the detectives’ desperate attempt to piece together the clues intensifies, and the peer pressure for Jane to start dating again builds, the stage becomes set for Jane’s father to reveal a long since forgotten secret that will shake the very foundations of everything these characters perceive. A truth that everyone else in the audience has known all along…that Sammy is more than just some creepy stuffed animal. Sammy… is…a MONSTER! Hilarity and horror ensue.
