The Most Influential Women in Horror for 2007
Pretty/Scary, one of our favorite horror sites that is “for women in horror by women in horror,” recently posted their list of The Most Influential Women in Horror in 2007.
The list includes actresses Ashley Judd (for her role in Bug), Jessica Alba (for, um, being pretty? Oh, and for her role in the upcoming remake of The Eye and the end-of-the-year film Awake), Sheri Moon Zombie (for her role as Michael’s stripper-with-a-heart-of-gold mom in Rob Zombie’s Halloween), horror journalist/writer Staci Layne Wilson (our personal favorite! Yay Staci!), Rue Morgue’s editor-in-chief Jovanka Vuckovic, horror personality Elvira, who made a comeback this year with her reality TV show The Search for the Next Elvira, scribes Diablo Cody (made famous by the critically-acclaimed Juno; her next project is the horror flick Jennifer’s Body) and Jace Anderson (who helped write Dario Argento’s upcoming Mother of Tears), producers Sarah Elbert (Hatchet) and Lisa Richardson (Masters of Horror series) and many, many more noteworthy women.
