Silver Screams Film Festival 2007

Texas just got a little bit scarier, y’all. On October 12 and 13, the Silver Screams 2007 Film Festival will possess the Studio Movie Grill (8580 Highway 6 North, Houston, TX 77095), showing a variety of horror classics, such as Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho, Bride of Frankenstein, and Stuart Gordon’s Re-Animator. Many of these films haven’t been seen on the big screen in years, so this is an opportunity that’s too good to pass up. There will also be several special guests as well as a showing of the art of H.R. Giger and Clive Barker, the noted author/filmmaker.

On Friday night (Oct. 12), there will be an opening night kickoff party you will not want to miss (featuring costume and scream contests and some scary-good alcoholic beverages). Also, there will be a blood drive on Saturday, from 12:30p – 5:00p. Another cool event will be the screening of the winning entries of the Little Shorts of Horror short-film competition. And don’t miss John Simons of Midnight Comics, who will be there with a huge selection of horror-themed comics and games.  You can get all the details at www.silverscreams.org or by e-mail at info@silverscreams.org.
