ScareFest Horror and Paranormal Convention Haunts Kentucky this September
The second annual ScareFest Horror & Paranormal Convention will be taking place at the Lexington Convention Center September 11th through 13th, 2009, with celebrity guests, movie screenings, ghost hunts, psychics, vendors, and more.
ScareFest is the largest Horror & Paranormal convention in the USA with over 5000 attendees expected to attend this year. This year’s event will feature a host of celebrity guests, including:
- Travel Channel’s Ghost Adventures ( Zak, Nick, and Aaron )!
- Kentucky’s leading paranormal investigator, Patti Starr!
- Demonologist John Zaffis!
- Hellraiser star Doug Bradley!
- Horror author Jack Ketchum!
- Psychic medium Chip Coffey!
- Gunnar Hanson from The Texas Chain Saw Massacre!
- Cast members from Rob Zombie’s The Devil’s Rejects and Halloween, including Dee Wallace, Ken Foree, Danielle Harris, Leslie Easterbrook, Priscilla Barnes and Lew Temple!
- Kane Hodder in a special appearance leading a ghost tour of Waverly Hills Sanitarium!

The Kentucky Blood Center will be on hand 1p-7p on Saturday for the ScareFest Blood Drive. Last year’s event was their most successful mobile blood drive of the year and they hope to repeat their success. All donors will receive special items from ScreamPark, Kentucky’s Halloween Park.
In honor of 9/11, active members of the Armed Forces, Police, Fire and Emergency Services with a valid ID or in uniform will receive free admission to Friday September 11th only. There will also be a brief service to honor those men and women who protect our country.
