Brain Dead Receives Theatrical Release

Brain DeadWe recently reviewed a fantastic gem of a horror movie called Brain Dead. It’s a wonderful zombie-type movie by horror maestro Kevin S. Tenney (director of Witchboard and Night of the Demons), starring Joshua Benton, Michelle Tomlinson and Sarah Grant Brendecke. And though it’s a fun little flick, it had seemed to have gotten lost in the confusing realm of hell called Distribution.

We just heard from Kevin that Brain Dead lives! The film is getting a limited release, with the possibility of wide release if it does well. Here are the dates and list of initial theaters that will be screening Brain Dead in the U.S., 12 theaters in 8 states, with more to come later:

This is amazing news. This shows you how messed up the movie business can be. Kevin S. Tenney is responsible for some of the most iconic horror films of the ’80s, and, with Brain Dead, he’s made a new film that’s as good as any he’s ever produced. We totally loved this movie and it definitely deserves a chance. If you live in any of the cities listed, try your best to get out and see it. You’ll be glad you did!
