“Bad Reputation” DVD News

New DVD ArtworkBad Reputation (read our review), a low-budget horror film that made our Best of 2006 list, is finally getting a much deserved DVD release through Maverick Entertainment.

This brutal, smart and thoughtful foray into the “rape-revenge” genre, this time set in high school by writer/director Jimmy Hemphill (read our interview) blew me away the first time I saw it and I’ve been trying to spread the word on this fantastic film ever since!

Now, it is finally available for everyone to check out! The DVD will be released by Maverick Entertainment August 7th and can be pre-ordered now through Bad Reputation’s website.

You can also pre-order the DVD through www.darkdel.com and have the DVD signed by the Bad Reputation cast, including director Jim Hemphill and stars Angelique Hennessy, Jerad Anderson, Danielle Noble, and Dakota Ferreiro on August 11th at the fabulous Dark Delicacies in Burbank, California.

Following the signing at Dark Delicacies, Bad Reputation has been selected by the American Cinematheque to screen as part of their annual horror series. The movie will show at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica, California on Sunday, August 12 at 4:30pm, and a Q&A will follow with Director Jim Hemphill, stars Angelique Hennessy, Jerad Anderson, Danielle Noble, and Dakota Ferreiro, and producers T.W. Porrill and Chris Landers. Visit Bad Reputation on Myspace to find out more information on the theater and tickets.

We’re also told by director Jimmy Hemphill himself that the DVD will feature a blurb from yours truly! This is very exciting news, so be sure to look for our quote when you pick up the DVD!

Everyone at Fatally-Yours.com would like to congratulate the cast and crew of Bad Reputation for all their success!

Cheers!
